Jim Glaister BA(Hons) CSJK was the PCA Student of the Year 2015. He began working in the invasive weed industry in 2004, initially for Wreford Ltd and then freelancing for several invasive-weed companies before joining the Knotweed Company in 2013. He is a contributing author for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ (RICS) online subscriber information portal isurve since 2009. He frequently gives CPD presentations and webinars on a variety of invasive-weed topics to environmental consultants, local authorities, property management companies and organisations such as the RICS and the PCA. He has been an examiner and marker for the PCA’s CSJK examinations since 2015, as well as being a member of the PCA Education Committee and its Annual Conference Committee. With Brian Taylor he has developed a number of strategies for the management of Japanese knotweed and invasive bamboo.
