Brian Taylor
Brian Taylor has an MSc in Crop Protection and an HND in Amenity Horticulture. He is a Certificated Surveyor in Japanese knotweed (CSJK), and was the Property Care Association (PCA) Student of the Year 2016; also a Member of the BASIS Professional Register (MBPR). While a teenager, Brian worked on Forestry Commission trials on invasive weeds, such as rhododendron, and later was an Assistant Agronomist on field trials for Monsanto. He spent six years as a self-employed researcher carrying out commercial evaluation of spray nozzles and machinery for drift categories. He began working with invasive weeds, such as Japanese knotweed and giant hogweed in 2004, which led to forming The Knotweed Company in 2010 where he has also developed management techniques for dealing with invasive bamboo since 2015.
